Isimi Lagos Festival 2024: Where Polo, Wellness and Fashion Converge

As the year rounds up and many Nigerians miss the excitement of the consecutive fashion events we’ve had in the past couple of months, the 2024 Isimi Lagos festival gave the opportunity to the fashion savvy elite class to show up and show out. Nobody loves an excuse to dress up like Nigerians and the event was a beautiful blend of the elegance of equestrian sports and the luxury of wellness with creative and unique fashion expressions.

The event was hosted by Isimi Lagos, a prestigious real estate establishment that promotes the eponymous luxury and lifestyle city located at the heart of Epe, Lagos Island. One of the main attractions of the festival, other than the stunning fashion, was the Polo sports game. It was a thrilling show of the equestrian prowess of the players and the winner was personally awarded by his highness, the Ooni of Ife.

Many notable faces were in attendance dressed to represent the wellness theme of the festival, a nod to the serene and eco-sensitive elements the host city’s known for. Flowy dresses, organic fabrics and colorful tones dominated the scene, perfectly complimenting the energy and vibe of the event.

Tosin Ajibade stunned in a gorgeous pink number styled by the talented rhodaebun. The look featured a lovely off the shoulder dress with beautiful details, outfitted with a fascinator and complimentary jewellery. What was most interesting was the direction she went in the footwear department, opting for comfortable white sneakers as opposed to the predictable heels choice. Also present was Miss Demz and Ivoriandoll and they both wore the lovely ankara print dresses of a twin set collection. Mimi Mide also slayed in a striped raffia dress with a frayed hem and a matching frayed raffia hat. The amazingly gifted Kaffy showed up in a pretty black and white print maxi skirt paired with a black crop top, gloves and a stunning fascinator.

The men’s fashion ranged from corporate like with Olusola Amusan in a smart green blazer and tailored pants to traditional with Niyi and more casual like with the governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and artiste Fireboy DML.

Overall, the festival was one to be remembered, seamlessly integrating the world of equestrian sports with fashion and lifestyle and creating a cultural phenomenon where these elements can be both individually and simultaneously enjoyed.
